Our God is bigger than the weather. This week the weather has not allowed Ryan to proceed with his stage check and check ride. The weather for the rest of the week is also predicted to be terrible. However, we are determined not to lose hope. Our God is bigger than the weather. After all, isn’t He the one who created it? We are praying for the weather to lift so that Ryan will be able to finish his flights before we depart for Togo on Saturday.
There are two reasons it is so important that Ryan passes these this week. First, since we’ll be gone for six weeks it may not be for seven or eight weeks until Ryan will fly again. In that amount of time he’ll lose proficiency. As a result, he will have to spend more time in the plane to regain proficiency when we get back, which is expensive. Secondly, Ryan has to take three flight courses this fall. This includes two ground school courses and one flight course. We are hoping to sign him up for one ground school course in the summer semester so that he will be able to use his semesterly spousal grant to pay for it. However, he can’t register for it until he has completely passed the spring course he is finishing up.
We understand that our God is in control and that either way this whole thing turns out that He will provide for our needs. However, we still believe that the God who made the clouds can also move them. Please pray with us that the Lord would move the clouds and provide a way for him to pass his flights this week. We will give Him the glory for His decision in this matter.
You’re prayers have been such an encouragement to both of us this week.
